PT 12 glitchy graphics in Yosemite just like PT11... at least for me.

I'm running a really old Mac Pro that I back door installed Yosemite on. I was having graphics issues. Upgraded my video card and all is perfect - runs like a dream.

It sounds like a driver issue.

What new video card did you install?
Also I am having issues with video playback in 11 and 10.10.3 It plays fine for about 10 seconds then it starts glitching out and loosing sync. Anyone else have this issue?
I find that my glitchy graphics go away when I have more tracks. If I have no tracks and hit play that is when the clock and playback head stumble the most.
Quartz DeBug gets rid of of that issue, but I find I really don't need it once I have several tracks playing. Quatrz Debug also does not help my video playback issues.

Thanks folks! It was in this thread that I read about Quartz Debug, so I installed it and running it in the background with Beam Sync disabled fixed my ongoing problem of the AVE going nuts whenever I load new video into a session. I have almost no idea what Beam Sync is or why disabling it fixes this problem, but THANK YOU!

Has anybody tried 10.10.4 and PT 12.1? maybe the problem got resolved with these updates.

Now it's working fluid! Not sure, because of latest Yosemite upgrade or Pro Tools 12.1, but no Quartz Debug anymore :)

Good news! sort of... I upgraded to 10.10.4 and still have the glitches with 11.3.1 so this points to Avid being the ones who fixed this issue not Apple.
Apple's upgrade is free Avid's is $600.00 to fix a minor bug, they should release 11.1.4. for us laggers but I am sure they will not.
I hope others will report this as well when they upgrade to 12.1 to say they have too have smooth graphics.
My problem is I still don't want to shell out the $600 just to fix the issue. I upgraded to 10.10.4 and still have the glitchy graphics with 11.3.1
I will have to upgrade before the end of the year.
I would love to know how 1080p h264 playback 20mbps is with a lot of tracks.
Video gets glitchy and out of sync for me in PT11 when there is a lot going on.
I can compress the video down to a lower resolution and it will be ok but I used to be able to do this in PT 10 no issues.
