Default Pro Tools 10 Potential Improvements

All the anger and the eloquence need to culminate in improvement, and I ain't a quitter....so here we go.

After many years of working with Pro Tools, I humbly request the following:

1. A quick bounce
2. One Click PT Optimization, or optimize on install for Windows 7 (for many common functions, not all... could be based on processor, ram etc.). Any optimizations not covered by this elective process would be in the after-install read me.
3. VST Support
4. Full 64 bit support

....feel free to add more, or explain why these shouldn't be added. Hopefully this will be a bit of a resource for the engineers building the next iteration.

As an attaboy, I'd like to thank the folks at Digidesign for working with Universal Audio to bring the UAD-2 to life in PT9.

This isn't the right place to do this. Ideascale for Avid is the best place.

Maybe PT10 could just include a "Feature Request" menu item
Best

Or at least a quick link to Ideascale from within PT.

I'd like to see a version made available just for editing... Something I can use on my laptop and not have to have an ilok plugged in. So maybe it has no record features...? I don't know. I just know one of these days I am going to break my ilok. It has happened to flash drives...

Quick or offline bounce would be cool. I bounce to track, but that would still be handy to have quick mixes to give clients. VST would be cool too.

Hi guys, we're at PT 9.0 so isn't it a little early to dream on?

There is a big likelihood that fall will bring us PT 10, at least with lion support for the Mac guys.
I also expect a new range of new TDM cards sooner rather than later.

There are rumors that pro tools 9.1 will support 64bit tech with a rumored rtas 2 feature. With Lion out avid may delay 9.1 which doesn't even have an official date but delay it so it's comparible with Lion. Also waves is selling all TDM bundles at 50% off which is a big sign that rtas 64 bit is coming. Anything pro tools 9 64 bit is coming. Possibly a increase with ADC. 10 won't be here for a couple years. Back to rumors, it is expected that many ideascale suggestions will be put into pro tools 9.1 time will tell, I expect fall when they will probably announce the hd native thunderbolt product line.
