Default Pro Tools LE 7.3cs1 don\'t open up

Hi everybody,

I'm quite upset because my Pro Tools LE 7.3cs1, running with a brand new MacBook 1.83 GHz Intel, don't open up.
Up until then the running of the software was straight, and very easy to use.

If I look closer, my iLok and my Mbox 2 are recognized.
So where this problem come from?

I tried 3 times to uninstall and right after to install, but nothing to do and the problem still the same.

Does this situation already arrived to one among you?

Thank you in advance for any useful help!

Sincerely

NikoNewYork

You need to be more specific about what is happening when you try to launch ProTools. Does the icon bounce in the dock? Do you get the ProTools splash screen?

You also say "Up until then the running of the software was straight, and very easy to use." What does this refer to? Up until when?

Hi Slim Shady,

For Your Information, the Pro Tools icon was just jumping and then stopped, without opening something.
And yes it was the icon bounce in the dock, but also this one in the Applications folder.

The meaning was that, since I set up Pro Tools with the appropriate CD-R, it was running without erratic behavior or even errors!

Now the problem is resolved: it was this updating proposed to me by Apple.
In fact, Before the problem I was running Pro Tools under Mac OS X 10.4.8, and the problem starting with Mac OS X 10.4.9.
And I downloaded the "MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.9Intel.dmg", and now Pro Tools is as the beginning: running correctly.

Thank you for your reply.
