Me too. Just speaking about WHO is mostly using AAX DSP systems based on what I see.

IIEQ Pro has a very similar GUI that's easier on the CPU and sounds softer and rounder to my ears.
Another one is the 6144 wich is even easier on the CPU and sounds great.

I was fortunate to get the EQ pack (IIEQpro, LP10, DirectionalEQ, 6144) for $30. IIEQpro is definitely one of my two "transparent" go-to EQs. I looked up whether DDMF is doing AAX DSP yesterday, it doesn't appear so.

GML, Sonnox, Brainworks and Focusrite Red DSP eqs are mighty good as is the included channel strip. We may see some brand new DSP plugs but I doubt that porting old plugs to DSP would generate enough new sales to break even.

I thought the whole point of the AAX plugin system was that the same code would run both the native and DSP versions, and eliminate the duplicate coding that RTAS and TDM required.

Yes, but my understanding is that you should start with the DSP-code, then the native code becomes easy, not the other way round...

Another +1 here for IIEQPro, and I also like EQuick. Both have that modern workflow/UI similar to FabFilter Pro-Q.

So, you think the "HUGE native market" using FF isn't making music? And/or records? Hmm...

CLEARLY, we both read FF's statement differently...

I wouldn't expect anybody to port old, non-TDM plugs to AAX-DSP.

That's my understanding as well. It would seem that for a lot of these companies, it's a difficult decision to put the time, money and manpower toward starting with DSP when they can get Native out the door with less effort (and more quickly).

FabFilter's comments had a snarky tone that may have been passing for a bit of excuse making.
