Which EQ would you recommend?
I am looking to get an EQ for my system so I can setup my room a little bit better. I am looking to spend around $150 on an EQ. Any recommendations?

Re: Which EQ would you recommend?
I assume you're talking about using EQ to flatten the response of your monitors in your room?
If so, spend the money on acoustic treatment or a speaker upgrade instead. EQ'ing monitors in a control room is generally frowned on. For live sound, sure, but in a control room anything you spend $150 on will do more harm than good. |

Re: Which EQ would you recommend?
First off, $150 isn't going to buy any quality in an eq.
Secondly, you dont' eq the monitors to the room, you tune the room. Do some research on room tuning, perhaps spending osme of that money on a few good books, and some on some (fireproof) tretment. Hope this is helpful. |

Re: Which EQ would you recommend?
Here is a great article from Ethan Winer on acoustic treatment.
