We have 3 system 5 MC and we can't mix with PT12 in any of them. Load any session with a 5.1 track (which mean 98% of our sessions) and the fader packs and MC crash.

having a real hard time to work stable. the only way the mouse on the MCpro will work is if another mouse is connected to the computer. Also, can't switch between 2 computers connected to the Sys5mc anymore, although both computers are listed on the MC.

Yes we have the same experience with EUCONWS 3.3.2.

1) Mouse not responding any more reliable
2) WS Switch not working at all any more even though all computers show up right on the 5-MC
3) freezing of the whole system after WS Switch died.

This behavior is when working with 2 Systems, 1 x NUENDO 7 (MAC 10.9.5) and 1 x Pro Tools 10 HD (MAC 10.8.5). Maybe if you work just with Pro Tools alone you have less Problems but when working with more than one Workstation it doesn't work right any more (as is used to be). Our EUCON MC is 3.1.3.

We tried out the following test so maybe that helps you guys (which EUCONWS works with what System)


NUENDO 7 PRO TOOLS HD 10.3.10

EUCONWS 3.3.2 WS - NO WS - NO

EUCONWS 3.2.2 WS - YES WS - YES
EUCONWS 3.2.1 WS - YES WS - YES
EUCONWS 3.2 WS - YES WS - YES

EUCONWS 3.1.3 WS - YES (NUENDO 6.5 and lower) WS - YES

(this Version 3.1.3 has the Problem, that it is not working any more with NUENDO 7 since it is not compatible with the Steinberg EUCON ADAPTER)
(all higher EUCONWS Versions: 3.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2 und 3.3.2 are working with NUENDO 7 except 3.3.2 here the WS Switch is not working any more)

WS = Workstation Switch

We are getting very close to being able to give out a beta of the new MCPro code. I personally tested a version yesterday and we are down to 2 small issues before being able to let you guys have it. I want to make sure its at least as good as, if not better than what you have now.
It is a complete rewrite and actually includes performance changes to EUCON that S6 and Artist wont see for a few months yet. Getting this to a full release is my top priority so the more beta testers the better. Because of the rewrite fixing any bugs will be a lot quicker too.
I'm sorry this is taking a while but we will get there.

Do you how close we are to a new release? It doesn't make sense to have 3 system 5MC and not being able to use PT12.

We have been in beta for a while and the last one was the release candidate. We have spent many months on this and need to move on now. It is very likely that the RC1 that is out will be the official release when the next full EUCON/EuControl release is made. Message me if you want a link to this build.

Hi Eddie -- just following up on this... is RC1 still the official release? Was anything further done on this since your message in March? I have RC1 but since I'm in the process of rebuilding my system hard drive I wanted to make sure I had the latest & greatest. Thanks!

RC1 is the last version yes. it is not the official release as that is not happening for a couple of months but it will be the same.

I confirm that EuconWS 3.3.2 is working with Nuendo 7 and Cubase Pro 8.5. The only issue is the App Sets do not show on the MC401 upper garage under the Smrt button.

I see the App sets in this directory. Where can I copy the xml files to in order to get the Smrt soft keys to work?

C:\eMix\Download\Nfs\Hybrid\UserSets\Default
