Are you taking about the original units or all MC Pros and fader pack (408T)s?

Mine is an older unit. I cant speak for the newer ones, but I doubt they are any better

Just to be clear: I'm talking about the lousy external PSU's used for the MC.

The408T modules have integral PSU.

The full internal electrical distribution in the silver MC was updated at some stage, but our units are the old ones.

I'm glad to know you are taking about the power supply. You can buy a new one for $500.00, which isn't that bad.

May I ask you, what other major problems you had with your unit?

I might buy a used one in the next days, and if everybody saying the older units are craps, I might reconsider my options...

The older MCs are great, it is only the PSU that sucks.

The PSU from germany will not cost you that much more than the stock one and it is well worth it. If nothing else for the fanless operation.

Our only problem was with the failing psu. Otherwise our unit is great

I know I can buy new ones... As mentioned I've done it six times...
To be honest I didn't have to pay for all of them but most of them.
