HDX card not recognized in Mac Pro
After replacing a crashed boot drive, my HDX card is not recognized by DigiTest or Pro Tools on my Silver Tower MacPro. I am working with Avid support who says this is a known issue with the High Sierra OS. However, after re-installing the HD driver and allowing Security access my computer failed to boot. I then had to reinstall the OS using Cmd-R.
Has anyone been able to resolve an unrecognized HDX card? I'm running OS 10.13.6 with Pro Tools 2018.10 recently installed. The system was working well before the (SSD) disk crash incident. Thanks, Paul

I was able to resolve this issue.
I removed the 2018.10 HD driver then installed the 2018.7 driver. Then installed the HDX card and it is recognized. I don't know if the 2018.10 HD driver would have worked, but I'll stay away from it for now. So, I'm running 2018.10 Pro Tools with the 2018.7 HD driver. *** CASE CLOSED ***

The 2018.10 HD driver is working fine here. A PRAM/NVRAM reset may have been all you needed to get it up and running.
