Just upgraded to HD. My thoughts:

I got HD1 mid december, and thought I should share my thoughts with you guys.

My biggest dissapointment by far is the headroom-problem with TDM.

The essence is that clipping occurs much faster in TDM plugs than in RTAS. It can even happen without any red-light warning you.

My biggest hooray is PDC. It is still something I'm unsure about how works, but there is far less delays now at least. Something to delve into for January.

My feeling is that if you don't need the i/o, sync options or surround, then you can squeeze just as much out of a well tuned Le as you can out of HD. And if you are getting HD, then save money by getting a fast computer instead of DSP cards. A quad or something.

My system also seems slightly more unreliable now than it did before. But that might just be me getting used to the new computer.

So all in all I'm not totally blown away.
Still, it is nice to ride with the big boys... ;-)

Har lurt litt på dette med HD og LE. Har selv Digi002 med en 2xDualcore cpu++.
