Where to find HD Software Downloads

Hi guys, I just purchased both a PCI-X Core Card and a 96 I/O off of eBay (separate sellers). I am already running 7.4 LE and have found it much more stable than 8.0 on my PPC G5. So, I found a few people who are selling 7.4 HD iLok authorizations but I can't for the life of me find somewhere to download just the software.

Does anyone know where that can be found or do I just need to skip purchasing the authorization and purchase the 7.4 "Update" available on the Avid store? I already spoke with Avid and they stated that the "Update" was in fact a full installation and that would be all I needed.

Last question: Do I need to uninstall 7.4 LE? Also, my RTAS Plugins, do I leave those or do I have to reinstall them?

Do a clean install from scratch. All the way from formating your hardware drives. Do a backup first.

Sorry, I've worked in several pro studios on HD rigs but never had to set one up myself so I have one more question: On a PPC G5 is there a best PCI slot to install the core card? I have a few other PCI cards installed so I didn't know if it was best to move those down and install the core card at the top or anything like that.

just leave ur rtas plug ins installed... i just got an HD core card and a 96io i just uninstalled LE from the PT HD 7.4 installer and then installed HD simple as that works like a charm personally i wouldnt bother reformatting drives or anything just uninstall LE and install HD leave ur plug ins and ur good to go... hopefully u got a good deal like i did u will be happy u left LE in the dust...
