Will this work?
We have a situation where we need to have an HD3 system and 2 graphic cards to run 4 monitors for a client.
With only 3 PCIe slots in the Quad G5, our thought was to incorporate a PCI-X 7 slot Magma Expansion chassis. Can we have the host PCIe Expansion chassis card in the G5 plus 2 monitor cards, and have PCI-X PT cards in the expansion? Never tried this and didn't know if it would work or not?? Not sure if the PCIe host card has the same connections as the PCI-X one that we have...anybody tried this? Thanks...

Re: Will this work?

would a DVI splitter or this Matrox box http://matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/support/mac/home.php work for you?

Re: Will this work?
I have to find out about the monitors being independent.
My "guess" is 2 for PT 1 for the video, and not sure about the other. Now it seems the machine needs to be our Intel Dual 3g. Do you or anyone else know if I can take a PCI-e graphics card from a G5 Quad and run it in the Intel machines?
