I'll check it out, but the latest few versions have been a bit funky for me.
I was in a sweet spot for a while with 11.2.1 and an older BM driver, but since getting a lot more exports from premier, the video side has been a little hit and miss (video freezes and random red frames popping up).

EDIT---> Ok, just jumped back to 10.1.2 Desktop Video BM Driver and the freezing and failed to stop messages have gone!

I like it a lot. S6 software 1.4 is a big step forward. You need pt 11.3.1. The new version auto focuses plug ins with pt track selection. That really speeds up mixing for me.

I am testing 11.3.1 tonight so maybe thatll help. but its getting so very frustrating. I actually have a big gig coming up where previously the client wanted to run video satellite with the avid media, but now they want to kick us DNX 145 quicktimes to playback.... i am highly doubting at this point 11 will be up to the job unless theres a miracle.
I tried 11.3.1 today - for me its even worse. Video Errors at least every 20min.

I tell you. Avid gives a s* bout that problem. They are more interested in implementing fancy PT12 stuff that nobody needs.

Thanks! I tried PT11.2.1 with BM 10.2.2, 10.3.4, 10.3.5 and even 9.2.2 without succes. Will try 10.1.2 later this week.

I think you need to look into you set up and video codec. 11.3.1's video engine is improved.

BM 10.3.4 and PT 11.3.1 has been fairly stable for me so far. Not perfect, but not a show stopper every 15 min like with BM 10.3.5. That was horrid.

Rolling out 11.3.1 now. First machine up was a 2008 8 core. It works relatively well now, not perfect but considering its age I am not surprised. 10.3.4 works much better than 10.3.5

So do we point the finger at AVID or BM?
This trial and error driver selection is getting painful.
Do people get the same problems with AJA cards?

Avid must execute allot of work in order to make AVE to work as it should.
PT 11.3.1 still has problem stopping itself, its still relaunching the Video Engine when editing very fast and nudging clips in high density session.
Having said that, just get the AJA (a "white magic") and you will never look back to the Black Magic.

PT11+Mac Pro 6,1 w/ AJA T-Tap and DNxHD video... no problems.

Every bit as responsive and reliable as PT10+Mac Pro 3,1 w/ Blackmagic Intensity Pro.
...just got a disconnection between video and audio, forced me to reboot. So not quite as good as the old days, but the problem is pretty infrequent.
