Once again, nowhere near enough info for anybody to help Some questions:
Did it EVER work before?
Have you done all the required system tweaks?
What interface?
What OS?
What recording drive?
Not sure if it will help, but a Sandra report can;t hurt ( Help us Help You - READ THIS Before Posting!)

BTW, sometimes, the best solution is to start fresh, which means uninstalling Pro Tools. If you do this, MAKE SURE you also select to remove the HD driver too(this is really important!!!).

sorry about that, thanks for helping me out. This is the first time i'v tried opening it, it hasn't successfully opened yet. I have performed all the system adjustments outlined in the install guide. I have an allen and heath zed 10 mixer as the interface. I guess that could be used as a ''recording drive'' also. Is OS operating system? If so i have a sony vaio pcg 71311 w. It meets all the requirements. I will try the reinstal.

Thanks again for your help :)

Are you using Native Instrument plug-ins?

...and we'll still need the info as requested by albee1952.

I believe protools 10 student version comes with native instrument plugins yes, not sure what information i didn't answer from previous question dude, I'm assuming os is operating system, if that's the case im using windows 7 like in the title. I tried unistalling and reinstaling and it worked for a little while but there was a lot of lagging with the playback so i made adjustments to the playback engine but no dice. Tried reinstalling again and now i get the message pop up again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also just wanting to clarifie that AVID don't actually have any teck support for people that buy there product's without purchasing ''support codes''? Seems a little strange i can't report any faults with protools directly too them.

If you actually read that link, you will see what a Sandra report is and how to provide one

1-Pentium R is underpowered for PT10(my Gateway dual core 1.6 would do fine with LE8, but 9&10 are a no-go).
2-Integrated graphics are often a show stopper with PT(any version)
3-I see only 1 hard drive and its 5400 rpm. PT requires a separate drive for sessions/recording, and that drive must be 7200 rpm(or faster) and NOT firewire(with Windows 7)
4-Wifi and Bluetooth should be disabled when running Pro Tools(at least until Pro Tools is working well. Then try leaving them on and see if it kills performance).
I'm not the last word on this stuff, but there's my 2 cents. Wish it was more promising

I have a separate hard drive i can use, I guess i'll do some research as to how i'm going to record sessions to it. So would i only need the external drive for actually tracking songs and i should be able to mix and edit without? And how would i go about getting appropriate power for my Pentium R?
