Mouse button mapping in Windows 10...
Hey all,
I was an avid user of Steermouse when I was on a Mac, as it was magic with my Logitech Performance MX mouse. I could remap any button to anything (pretty much), and have app specific profiles setup. Now that I switched to PC, I'm having a hell of a time finding something comparable. X-Mouse Button Control doesn't see all the buttons on the MX (only goes up to 5), and the Setpoint software from Logitech won't let me rebind the extra couple of buttons for app specific functions. What do you guys use to remap mouse buttons under win10?

Re: Mouse button mapping in Windows 10...
I am on Windows 7, but it should work on Win 10, too : Logitech Gaming Software. Used with a Logitech G700.
Program specific profiles, profiles switched automatically. Very happy.

Re: Mouse button mapping in Windows 10...
Can't understand why XMBC won't see all your mouse's buttons. I have a Logitech M500 with 7 buttons and all 7 are seen and programmable, including Tilt Left/Right and the Wheel Button. I can even program the Scroll Wheel if I want. Maybe uninstall the mouse's current driver?
I'd also suggest getting in touch with the developer of XMBC, he's supposed to be pretty good at getting back or try the XMBC Forums.. Then again, I saw this: "Re: Logitech Perfomance MX Quote Postby phil » Tue Sep 15, 2015 1:25 pm Sigh... The FAQ already covers this - and my reply has not changed. Can you add support for more buttons? Unfortunately, as XMouse is not a driver, it is only capable of responding the messages sent by the mouse driver and supported natively by Windows. The basic generic HID/MS mouse driver sends only messages for the first 5 buttons. The new Logitech drivers for x64 also only send the first 5 buttons so until Windows recognizes more buttons natively, XMouse will only ever support 5 buttons. NOTE: The x64 Logitech software does support all the buttons but even with these drivers and software installed, XMouse itself can see no more than 5 buttons. Thanks, Phil"

I just checked XMBC with my Logitech M500 wired mouse. I have 9 different "buttons" and it seems I can program them all:
Left Click Right Click Scroll Wheel Button Left Side Button 1 Left Side Button 2 Scroll Wheel Up Scroll Wheel Down Tilt Scroll Wheel Left Tilt Scroll Wheel Left HTH

So if you are running PT with admin privilege, try and disable that and see if that works.

Ugh... I hate the 'getting to know you' period of using a new peripheral, especially one that is so, uh... hands on.

Re: Mouse button mapping in Windows 10...
I recently ran into this issue and found a solution:
On Windows 10, navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Kensington\TrackballWorks Right click on the "TbwHelper" application, select Properties and go to the Compatibility Tab. Select "Run this program as an administrator", click "OK" and restart your PC.

Re: Mouse button mapping in Windows 10...
There's no deficiency of free applications that can remap mouse fastens notwithstanding, in case you're utilizing a mouse that has more than the standard number of catches, it is conceivable that it accompanies an extraordinary driver or application that lets you remap the catches. On the off chance that there's no buddy application that goes with your mouse, or it doesn't uphold button remapping, or you're simply utilizing a conventional mouse, you can utilize X-Mouse Button Control to remap mouse catches.
