I’ve NEVER seen the Dugan Automixer on sale. It’s one of the only plugins I REALLY want as there’s no real alternatives.

The other issue, I don’t believe that runs natively. Correct me if I’m wrong as it’s been a while since I checked and that may have changed.

You can run it through a Native Sound Grid set up. It's one of the only things holding me back from buying into the Sound Grid Server system. I would use it live for sure.

I did find an auto mix plugin for AAX. It’s called WTAutomixer. US$160 and iLok protected.

I demoed it and it did work well enough. Can’t compare with Dugan as I’ve not used the software version, only the hardware.

Might be worth looking into. I’m close to pulling the trigger. These sort of tools drastically speed up my multi mic panel recordings.

I just bought A v12 plugin is why I ask.

It is simpler to have all your Waves plugins at the same version. However, Waves Central lets you manage and with the later versions install them. It also helps you avoid or remove duplicate installs from different versions. Just click around and follow the prompts. If there’s anything specific then I might be able to help.

Do Waves ever discount WUP? Mine are all V9 and rarely, if ever get used, apart from maybe Vocal Rider. Just updated Waves Central today having avoided for some time due to initial issues with mixed V9/V10 installations ... and seeing V11/V12 follow so quickly made me assume it was all getting a bit too complicated, especially with the new Metal GPU requirement. Turns out V9 is no longer covered by the new Central app so I might be tempted to update just for the sake of organisation and the option to keep using them?!
