Default What\'s your main instrument and most influential artist/group?

This is an indirect PT question, because the answer indirectly lead us all here.
My answer is the guitar, and probably The Beatles.

My main instrument is probably my turntables and the most influential artist/group for me would probably have to be KRS-One/Boogie Down Productions...man, that's a tough question because I've been influence by so many artist/groups

I don't have a main instrument, but I play (some a lot worse than others) guitar, bass, piano, percussion, concertina, violin, oud.
Major influences would be: Beatles, XTC, Mozart, Brian Wilson, Eric Satie, or whoever I happen to be listening to at the time- including a lot of the tunes I've heard right here on the DUC.
I confess I'm a hopeless DUChead.

Main Instrument...Drums

Influences(so many and so incomplete):

Music...Genesis, Beatles & solo, Elton John, Supertramp, Black Sabbath, CSNY, Tori Amos, Sting, Bee Gees...

Drummers...Phil Collins, Omar Hakim, Manu Katche, Neil Peart, Nigel Olson, Ringo...

Great songwriting is really my main influence no matter the artist or genre or decade. To me, the beauty of songs takes on many forms and I'm constantly seduced by them. And it's quite normal for me to be listening to Motorhead(outstanding live) and Abba in the same sitting.
