The video isn't working at the moment .... Maybe too many people trying to access it?

Two interesting things ....

1) There doesn't appear to be any data transfer limit/cost, just the number of projects and amount of data stored onlne, in contrast with Steinberg's variation, which doesn't limit the number of projects but limits both onlne storage and data transfer.

2) Fascinating how they are marketing the plans as Basic/EP/Album, according to the number of projects ... 3/5/10. But with some thought you could play the system a bit by putting multiple songs into one project, and so long as you create only a small number of stems to be stored online for collaborators to access, you could keep under the data storage limit.

Might seem like overkill, but I really hope they incorporate two factor authentication (2FA) into our account logins...

500mb of "free" storage aren't enough IMHO....
should be at least 1g....or 2 even better...
there is a huge "gap" between 500mb "free" and 20g for first option
Maybe if they put a between of these two inside of plugins plan and support...
Meaning.....that when you buy plugins and support plan, you will also have a decent amount of storage for one year for example ...(then maybe i would renew my plugins and support plan)
just saying...

500mb? Wow! Yep should be at least 2G for support plan subscribers. Disappointing.

Agreed!!! I mean what is this 1995...since when is storage in mb even an option. What a joke, I'd rather pay Dropbox 10/month for a 1TB of storage and continue to collaborate the way I've been doing it the last 3 years!

Wake up Avid!

Let the groaning begin....I'll start by saying I'll be sticking with Dropbox until they rethink their archaic pricing scheme.

The free plan doesn't seem very useful except as a demo, unless you only want to use it once in a very long time. 500mb isn't enough space to do much.

The measly 500MB of free storage - I can completely understand, at least at this point in proceedings.

What I find utterly baffling though, is that even the premium plan is limited to only two additional collaborators (three users in total) per project.

I really hope that simply means two active collaborators at any one time.

In other words, a single project could have hundreds of collaborators passing through in total, but only two additional collaborators could be actively participating at any one time.

If it is limited to two in total, Avid have seriously hobbled themselves - and even if it simply means two active collaborators, that's scuppered any meaningful adoption of the service in the Film Post world.

Of course, PT12.5 is basically the public Beta of Cloud Collaboration, so we can expect major improvements (in terms of the number of collaborators, amount of free storage, and the development of the Artist Community) by the time we need to renew our support plans.

Last edited by DigiTechSupt; 04-03-2016 at 06:16 PM. Reason: Correct... two active per project (in addition to the owner).
