Does this involve signing up for the Protools|Upgrade Subscription (which includes Support) Plan?

Or relinquishing our current Protools 11 license in anyway?

I can only assume it's for those of us that upgraded either before Dec 31st or recently. From what I understand if you have done so, then you are entitled to Pro Tools 12.

JC, try to find a cheap license and upgrade that...I still have a PT's 10 license and acquired a MP license to use for the upgrade. This will enable me to, hopefully, explore AVID without sacrificing my working system.

So far, PT's 11 is useless and unstable at best on multiple test set ups...but in the end; it's $200 well spent. Unless things change significantly, it'll be the last chunk of change that AVID will get from me.

I still have a Cubase rig that works that's almost 10 years old!!!

I still have (well not own but support) a MIX system that works and is almost 16 years old, so what's the point? Hardest part is keeping the computer up and running.

Exactly, the only reason why I bought my new system was because the power supply failed mid session. That only happened once. In Pt's 11 on multiple test systems I get random crashes and inconsistant memory ussage. Even with NO 3rd party plugins installed. It'll be interesting to see how this all works with cloud, I foresee and barrage of corrupt sessions.
