new digi 02 setup, which os, etc
About to go setup a friends digi 002 , pro tools installation on his pc. I have experience with pro tools but on a mac not a pc. The pc is a pro tools compatible but only has 2GB of memory. It is currently windows vista. I want to wipe the entire installation and start off with a clean slate but had a few questions. What OS is best for the installation. any configuration requirements I should be aware of? gotchas? etc? Thanks in advance.

Hard to say without details on the PC. Posting a sisoft Sandra report(using the lite version for free) would go a long way towards getting the best advice. Also, which version of PT do you have to install? If its older than 7.4, then XP is the only choice. 7.4 to 8 and Vista 32 bit will also work. Windows 7 needs 8.0.3 for 32 bit and add the .4b beta update for 64 bit.
