Tedious drums
Inputting drums into PT express is a pain in the arse!!! I don't think it supports a midi controller.....
So - I have a Roland TD9 kit But I'd buy a programme like BDT3 or EZ drummer so I could get a more quantised finish than I would playing 'live'. Are these programmes compatible with PT express? Can you programme original beats with them or do you have to use the presets? Ta

Re: Tedious drums
Truthfully, PT Express is designed to tease you and not much more. Buy the full version and things open up dramatically(personally, I wish Avid never offered those silly versions, unless they called the Pro Tools Free). (a few days later) guess what? Avid announces Pro Tools[ First....for free.....
But seriously, neither allows you to use 3rd party plugins. I used a Roland TD10 kit with EZdrummer, SD2 and Addictive Drums and it worked exceedingly well. I think its just time for you to graduate to the full version. By the way, At first, I thought "Tedious Drums" was going to be a new drum plugin that whined all the time and overplayed.......

Re: Tedious drums
Lol - sorry for the misleading thread title. Probably not many takers for that type of plugin!!
Yes - I guess your right. Probably time to go to full pro tools. I could use my launchkey or Roland drums then as well as plugins like BDT3. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Tedious drums
We already have that, it's called "Every Amateur Metal Drummer Ever". You can't buy, but with the rental price only being a twelve pack of cheap light beer per 8 hour session, who wants to buy?
