Microphone Sensitivity, Please help! 😩
I'm using a USB Microphone on my HP Laptop with Windows 10 for my mobile studio. I have adjusted the mic level in Windows 10 and it works fine outside of pro tools but the second I arm a track to record in pro tools it is screaming loud again. I have even adjusted the mic volume while monitoring a track and it has zero effect on the mic volume inside of pro tools. Any ideas would be a huge help.

Re: Microphone Sensitivity, Please help! 😩
If you go to Setup->Preferences->Operation, see if Link Record and Playback faders is checked. If so uncheck them. This way when you arm the track for record you can adjust the level for recording, then when you disarm it you can set the level for playback.

Re: Microphone Sensitivity, Please help! 😩
No fader within Pro Tools will change the signal coming in, only the monitoring level. And the mic level in Windows should not effect the signal going into Pro Tools. What USB mic do you have? There should be a gain adjustment on the body of the mic itself.
