Default PT 10 on macbook ok?

Hi, I am new to this forum. This is actually my first post. I tried finding info. regarding my question - but did not find what I was looking for. I am very close to buying PT10. The reason is primarily it being used by engineers I work with on my projects, and it being "industry standard" - and I want to learn it for future projects and ease.
I have FF 800 soundcard, and new macbook 13" 2.9 Ghz i7. Is this good for PT 10 to work flawless? I usually have 18-20 tracks per project, and a 1-3 plugins each track. I can download a demo, but I do not own iLok, so if anyone can help a bit - I appreciate it very much. Thank you.

I have a 13" MacBook Pro (2011 |i5) so a generation prior to yours, and it's working absolutely flawlessly with PT 10.
You should just make sure to get a firewire-drive to work on, since you shouldn't have your audio on your system drive.
Other than that, there's no reason to hesitate.
