Fast Track II 6.1.12 Driver BSOD
Hello everybody, I noticed BSOD with this version of Fast Track II drivers. I put the config. on 48kHz instead of 44.1 but Fast Track II supports safety these numbers, right? I put 512 samples too, what you think it is? Perhaps it's because I am using Windows 7 instead of Windows 8.1 (these drivers add support for Windows 8, perhaps it's designed for Windows 8), perhaps this is the problem, right?

Re: Fast Track II 6.1.12 Driver BSOD
The 6.1.1.12 driver should also work with Windows 7, however trying an older driver might help.
Can you post your full system specs, and the specifics on the BSOD? Joel

Re: Fast Track II 6.1.12 Driver BSOD
Motherboard ASUS Z87M-PLUS
CPU Intel Core i7 4770K Onboard Intel HD Graphics 4600 RAM 8GB DDR3-1333 SSD Intel Series 520 120GB HD Seagate Barracuda LP 1TB Power Supply Antec 620W I am using right now Windows 8.1 Update 1 with 6.1.12 drivers for M-Audio Fast Track II (that's an Avid product too). This interface was bought used, but in good conditions. I use it with a Behringer B1 microphone. Well, I have a copy of Pro Tools SE (Student Edition) too that is a bundle product, so it's original and pretend to use it, even it has limitations. I disabled the onboard audio device for prevent issues, and the computer is up to date, with the latest drivers. |

Re: Fast Track II 6.1.12 Driver BSOD
I don't think Pro Tools SE is supported with Windows 8.
When does the BSOD occur? Are you connecting it to USB 2 or USB 3 ports? If you're using USB 3 (usually blue, or have SS beside them), try using a USB 2 port. Joel

Re: Fast Track II 6.1.12 Driver BSOD
I plugged on a USB 2.0 port for more compatibility. I am noticing "noise" when listening to sounds and BSOD stops, but I put the config on 44,1kHz 256 samples, it has relations? I know that Fast Track II supports 48kHz/24bits. It's possible to Avid launch a new version of Fast Track II drivers for Windows 8.1?

Re: Fast Track II 6.1.12 Driver BSOD
I think I found an error with the drivers version. The version downloaded is 6.1.12, but when I install it, it shows version 5, I think it's this problem that causes BSOD, that's a problem too. Avid is thinking about launching new drivers for Fast Track II?
