using jog wheel to scrub audio
I am trying to work out how I can scrub audio in Protools using the DOCK jog wheel. I know I can press a soft key button on the DOCK which will then let me shuttle/jog, however this isnt very helpful or user friendly. It would be much easier if I could hold down a key on my keyboard (such as shift), while using the jog wheel on the DOCK. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Re: using jog wheel to scrub audio
AFAIK you have to use the jog button on the Dock itself.
You can create a Transport command in Eucon and assign to a softkey elsewhere on the Dock, but it's no more useful. However, I've found that the jogwheel is practically useless as you can't perform edits (or zoom or anything useful) while jog is enabled. You have to press stop. I really wish the guys at Avid would code this in, as I'd love to work with a jogwheel again. As it is, it's CTL and mouse-drag for scrub. :-( |

I totally agree with you on this. It just seems crazy that there wouldnt be some assignable button on (in my case), the S3 which I could hold down while using jog wheel |
