Default Where can i check specific computer compatibility stuff?

After my second failed laptop/pc attempt, im wondering if there is anywhere i can check specifically if pro tools 8 will work with my setup?

My new setup is going to be:

PROCESSOR - AMD Bulldozer Quad Core FX-4100 (3.60GHz/6MB Cache/AM3)
MOTHERBOARD - ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Dual DDR3, Sata 6.0gb, USB 3.0
RAM - 16GB Samsung Dual DDR3 1333MHz (4x4GB)
GRAPHICS CARD - 1GB AMD Radeon (Not that this matters)

INTERNAL HDD - Seagate 500GB Baracuda SATA-III (7200rpm)
EXTERNAL HDD - Maxtor 500GB (7200rpm)

Battling through the fields of stuff in support doesnt seem to be finding me what im after?

Thanks for any help you can give

AMD based systems are sort of a crap shoot, but maybe somebody will see this and know if it will work. Meanwhile, the graphics card actually DOES matter(and I think that may be a good choice on an AMD setup), and why not skip the external drive and run multiple internal drives? I run 4 SATA drives in my rig(all in drive cages for easy swap). Internals are less money and will give the best performance. Having said all this, The intels are a bit more tested and proven. I know the X58 is considered old now, but I have 2 systems with i7 quads and x58 mobo's and both are workhorses. If you poke around the DUC and look at signatures, you may find some proven AMD systems to help guide you
