Default Digi 001 crashes games - hardware conflict?

Anyone had troubles with Digi 001 and games like Battlefield 2 or Half Life 2??

I have had these games for a year and have had no problems until I installed a 001. Since then Battlefield will only run (in game) for 30 seconds or so, then it freezes and I can not go back to windows so I have to shut the whole system down. I have updated all my drivers and am running version 5.3.1 Pro Tools. I have tried disabling the 001 in the device manager which makes it reset as soon as the game starts. Other than that Pro Tools and the 001 run very well.

I am hoping someone out there has had a similar problem???

My PC is a HP 3mz P4, 1gig ram, ATI X300 256MB vid card, Win XP SP2.

ANY IDEAS??

Cheers
Bill

Bill ,
Welcome to the DUC forum
Hang in, someone might help you out.
My advice would be to install the games on a dedicated machine.
good luck,

Maybe so but it is not used for gaming, I use the on board sound for games, I think it's on the motherboard. I also have a sound blaster audigy 2. I am fully aware that the 001 is not for gaming. I think I will get a mac next time!

Thanks for the reply anyway.

Cheers
Bill

Could be an IRQ issue so maybe try the 001 PCI card in a different slot.
