Default Unable to locate Digidesign Hardware

Got a new Macbook and my MboxPro will not connect.

MacBookPro OS 10.6.3
Pro Tools LE 8.0.3
MboxPro connected via FireWire 400 (at the MBox) and FireWire 800 (on the MacBook) using 9-pin male (FW800) to 6-pin female (FW400) connector adapter.
Powerlight on the Mbox is blinking orange just using firewire as energy source.
In system preferences the MboxPro is not detected.

any help very much appreciated!!!

Have you downloaded the latest drivers from Digidesign?

Which driver do you mean?
I tried the CoreAudio Drivers v8.0.3 before I installed ProTools, but this wasn't working as well.

Okay have exact the same problem. Running on Mac and when I start up the computer, it has already a blinking led. Updated ProTools to the latest version but didn't help. It says now even that it can't find the NATIVE INSTRUMENT folder.... get some new window to select the proper folder but what ever I click, I can't select anything to change folders. ProTools don't start up but wait for a response & MBox is still have the orange blinking led.

What to do?
