Installing on new system
Hi,
I have PT 10, with an i-Lok stick/licence on my Windows 7 laptop. I am about to fully upgrade to Windows 10 and an SSL hard disk. Is there a deactivation/unnistall/install/activation procedure to follow? Thank you, DC |

For PT, you can install it on as many computers you like, the iLok is required for it to launch and run on any one at a time. |

Re: Installing on new system
Erm I'm not a win doze expert or anything - but I'm pretty sure PT10 won't run on Win 10. If you want to go on running PT10 you need to stay where you are, or upgrade to PT12 (and your soul will belong to AVID for evermore).

Re: Installing on new system
Yes, PT10 will run fine on Win10. Why you'd ever want to though is beyond me.

Re: Installing on new system
Thanks. Ok, I've just installed from its original disc pack. I think that a lot of the drivers (or summat like) maybe out of date - see attached. How to update/correct this? DC

Re: Installing on new system
Brilliant, just checked and there is PT 10.3.10, thank you. What is Avid Virtual Instruments?
Before anything else, could you confirm that the below are all PT, and that these should be deleted before starting afresh? Also, normally I uninstall with Revo Uninstaller as it finds leftovers in the registry; however, as PT didn't fully install Revo cannot spot anything; is it Ok just to uninstall the simple way? - Avid 002 and 003 Driver (x64) - Avid 002 Rack and 003 Rack Driver (x64) - Avid Command 8 Driver (x64) - Avid ElevenRack 1.0.11 (x64) - Avid HD Driver (x64) lots of Avid Mbox + M-Audio Thank you, DC |
