M Box Pro 2 and alternative inputs w/ no preamp
The 2 front preamp inputs of the Mbox pro 2 are lame. What input in the rear has no preamp so I could use my own preamp.
Thanks in advance |

Re: M Box Pro 2 and alternative inputs w/ no preamp
The LINE inputs(3&4 I think). If you get an outboard preamp with a SPDIF output, you can patch that in and even bypass the A>D converters(API's A2D is on my wish list, but ART has the Digital MPA). On a side note, the term "lame' is relative. If you want a preamp with "character", then no plain vanilla preamp will do. The API is one of the better "character" preamps available, along with Vintech, UA and a few others. I have friends that swear by Avalon as well.
