Default TC Triple C

Anybody using it? What kind of comments would say about it?

Also, with all this talk recently about DAs, is the Triple C`s DA better than the 001, or is the clock better (or worse)? I was thinking of getting this unit since the price recently fell to a resonable level and that it might be good to use as both a compressor and a regular DA bypassing the effects.

hello, we use it as a ad converter for the analog output of the console to a pc with wavelab. it sounds all right, not top quality, but ok for the money.
it's like a master compressor on the main stereo mix signal, but with a build in multi band compressor which is extremely nice.
if you can't afford something more expensive, i say it's a good choice.

Yeah, I've been using it for about a year now, and most of the time the unit sits across the master fader behind the HEDD for mastering. I use the S/PDIF I/O as an insert on the master fader. The converters are decent, I think a pretty good bang for the buck, and often I'll find the right preset for whatever I throw at it without too much tweaking. A good tool to have in MHO...

I use mine for tracking & sometimes I take it out for live mixing as well. It can be fairly transparent but when you really push it things start to get a bit ugly.
As far as the converters & clock go I'd say the 001's are better. The only problem with my unit is the parameter wheel somtimes skips values when I'm programming it.
All in all it's a great unit for the price.

Thanks for the feedback, people. Would any of you say that this unit is indispensible for your work or are there software plugins that do the same job with the same quality?
