Default Pro Tools 9 Mixing on a Laptop SD Card

If IM using Pro Tools 9.0.1 on a Windows 7 Laptop just for Mixing can I load the song onto a SD Card and use that as my Session Drive for Mixing while using the OS drive for Pro Tools 9? Will it work?

Default Re: Pro Tools 9 Mixing on a Laptop SD Card

I've done this with a 4gb usb drive. Session folder was about 1gb in size, 30 or so tracks, moderate amount of plugins. Worked the mix for about 20 mins with no errors.

Has anyone ever used a SD Card Formated to NTFS for Playback of a session while Mixing on a Laptop with one internal Hard Drive? I want load Pro Tools 9 on the OS drive and us the SD Card as the session drive. Does it work, will it work? or should I try and use a USB drive?
