Default Re: Protools Shutdown Problem

Experience it all the time with my Korg OASYS installed. No OASYS, no problem - seems to be a conflict with the PCI bus. Korg says they are aware of the problem but can't get digi hardware to test with. Digi says the same. My guess is this problem will persist until it shows up consistently without proprietary hardware.

Default Protools Shutdown Problem

I just recently started using PTLE with AM3 card. The program works fine, stable etc. But when I try to exit protools, the program locks up. (have to Cntr-Alt-Delete and End-Task to exit program, and then it won't restart without rebooting system).
Has anyone else experienced this? I read some postings from last year on this topic, but did'nt see any resolution.

-How are your resources allocated in your system?

-With the exception of a 'Holder for PCI Steering', is the AMIII device sharing with anything else?

What IRQ did your system assign the AMIII?

digi

Besides the usual assignments, I have a modem using IRQ 9, a graphics card using IRQ 10 and the AMIII card using IRQ 11. There is nothing else sharing with the AMIII.

Let me know if you'd like more details.

Disable all startup items running in the background and see if that helps the situation.
