Default Digi 001 Files Not Opening in Pro Tools 9

Hello, I am new to this forum so excuse me if this request is not properly placed. I have searched the forums to no avail to get an answer. I have a Digi 001 and have recently purchased Pro Tools 9. I have a lot of sessions in 001 that I'd like to open and then save in 9. I know 9 doesn't support 001. Is there a way to work around this so that I can open and transfer my older sessions to the newer format? I use Mac. Thanks in advance for any help and assistance!

Yes. As PT 9 doesn't need a dedicated PTLE interface and will run just with the iLok plugged in, the presence of the 001 is actually not important at all. Just install the PT 9, authorize and launch it. It will not find the 001, so it will either create the Pro Tools Aggregate Device, or use Built-In Audio Out as its playback engine. Even though you might not be able to hear the audio this way (or it will start to play from the internal speaker, or you can use headphones), you still should be able to launch Pro Tools and do whatever you want in it.

Are they in SDII format? At one time there was talk of dropping support for SDII. Not sure if that ever happened.

You can use the option of importing session data.
