Default AMD Compatibility

I want to finally jump into Pro Tools.
I have an AMD FX 6100 Six-Core/3.3 Ghz machine running WIN10 Pro. Am I going to have compatibility problems?

Default Re: AMD Compatibility

I am using an AMD rig to run Pro Tools with no problems. (see my signature). But note that I am using a very old version of PT. About all you can do is try. Make sure you do all of the optimizations in the Additional Resources link above.

I had the FX 6800 (iirc) and never had an issue, i only used it for a short time - my main board was a Gigabyte with 3930k but i was build a hackintosh at the time, so I used the AMD while that was being built

Default Re: AMD Compatibility

I know it's not the same architecture, but I'm running PT2018.1 in Win10Pro 64-bit on a Ryzen 1700 with no issues.

You ought to start a thread with testing on this system.

Many people are/were interested in these CPU’s

I am curious what kind of performance you can achieve with it as well
