Default punch in loop pre roll

Hi, Im trying to do a punch in/out part of vocal track but I want to do it on loop so I can do a few takes at once. However after the first take the playhead ignores the pre roll flag. Is there a way to set so that It will loop continuously back to the pre roll? thanks

Not that I know of. I would turn off pre-roll, and just extend the selection to match.

Yes, but you can trim the clips after you're done recording. I usually record to a new track.

Or you could simply make a new track to punch in on and cut the part you are replacing out of the existing track... That way you never record over anything and once you have the right take edited can slip it into place.
