Default Can you change CC Messages To Another After They're Recorded In PT?

I have imported a bunch of MIDI stuff into a new session which was previously recorded on a 90s era Roland Keyboard. Most of the tracks have AFTERTOUCH on them. Unfortunately, many VIs lack Aftertouch and use the MOD wheel for the same purpose. Short of re-recording CONTROLLER movements via the MOD wheel, is there some edit parameter that would allow one to change AFTERTOUCH (I believe CC 131 (m audio lists it as that, though in theory there should only be 128 CC Controller possibilities), or 95 in Roland speak).

Theoretically, if you expand the midi track with sub-tracks to display CC data, you could copy the dat from the track you have info on, and paste it to another CC track. Let me know if this works as I am out of the studio for several days and can't try it myself.

Thanks for the tip! What do you mean by subtracks? When I import say a SMF 1 File, from my Roland tracks, I get WAY more than the 16 it is capable of recording. The TEMPO track is there, I can figure out which is which by the content (1 to 16 MOST OF THE TIME is labeled 1-16). However, some other tracks appear (21, 2-2, 34, stuff like that). For some reason, SOME content from say TRACK 2 gets put on separate tracks (which I have no problem just assigning the content to its correct MIDI desintation, in this case Pro-53 or Kontakt).

Is this what you mean by subtrack, or are you talking about when you EXPAND the Track Display to show MOD, BREATH CONTROLLER, etc. In this case, AFTERTOUCH almost NEVER shows up! The VIs which CAN respond to Aftertouch (i.e. SOME patches in Kontakt). do, but I can't see the data (unless I'm missing something).

This is what he meant, and yes you can copy automation from one lane and right click "paste special>To current automation type"

I'm not certain about your aftertouch problem.. There definitely should not be cc131???

If the source of the MIDI data is all the same controller, then the aftertouch data should all be on the same cc#, no?
