Default Problems with 11R noises + editor

Hi there !

I'm facing a few problems with my Eleven Rack.

When I record in Pro Tools, I hear a "screetch" noise, every 2 or 3 seconds. Very regular.
I guess that's a sync problem ?
I plug the SPDIF into a Fireface 400
And USB to an iMac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5

Plus the Avid Eleven Rack window in the System Preferences says the device not connected. But it is !

And at last the Editor runs, but the window doesn't appear on my screen...

Are all these problems from the USB connection ?
What can I do ? I tried the things I know but nothing worked so far !

Of course everything is up to date.
Software 1.2.12
Firmware 2.0.1 Build 0.1.5.7

Thanks

You will need to connect SPDIF cables in both directions and manually set up one of the two devices to be the master clock for the other.

When using the 11R connected to another inferface by SPDIF, the USB connection is not carrying audio, but will let you control it by way of the standalone editor.

The Pro Tools settings for I/O will be different than when the 11R is the interface when your main interface is the Fireface 400.

Might want to mention what version of Pro Tools you are running...

You do not need S/PDIF cables going both directions (only if you want to reamp).. Just from the Eleven Rack to the Fireface, and make sure the Eleven Rack is set to clock internally and the Fireface set to clock from S/PDIF.

Keep things as simple as possible, and debug one thing at a time. S/PDIF clicking and similar noises from clocking issues has nothing to do with USB or the control app, disconnect all that and use the front panel options on the Eleven Rack to get this working then later you can futz with whatever you want to do with that other stuff (you need to disconnect the USB cable to get full control via the front panel user options menu, so do that now).

If that does not fix it then it may be some other issue, post a recording of the noise you get online so we can listen to it.

Or, if he wanted to slave the Eleven Rack to the Fireface's word clock periodically for testing.
