Default 11R as an Interface Question.

As an interface for Pro Tools (I'm on 12.4) does the 11R behave as my old 003R did as far as direct/input monitoring is concerned?
I'm running a new computer and using a Steinberg UR824 from a brief stint with Cubase and I dont like the way it interacts with PT and having to choose between LLM and hearing my inputs.I was spoiled by my old 003R as it worked with both.
With the 824 if I use LLM its monitoring anything going into it regardless of input selections I'm making in PT.
If I dont use LLM I hear the selected inputs as you would hope but dont like the latency.
Im either going to have to find a FW400 card for the new machine or get an Eleven Rack and go USB...which is cool if it acts like a proper Avid friendly interface.
Thanks and sorry for the rookie question!
