DV CAMERA VS ADVC ?
I own a advc transcoder . I am thinking of selling it and putting the money twords a mini dv cam with fire wire.
Any reason I souldn't ? ( for use with protools viewing on ntsc monitor ) I'm not capturing video just DV playback in protools LE and final cut. Thanks Brad

The only consideration should be the type of Camera. Some models don't jive with the "play dv mov out firewire" feature. I'd love to start a list here, of user's who are successfully outputting dv via Pt's and what DC Cam they are using. So far I believe,
most Sony models and the CanonZR-80. Anybody else what to chime in with what models of DV Camcorder are jiving with PT6? hope this helps
