Have you tried swapping power adapters with the brighter unit to see if it could be voltage-related?

Are they both Avid branded ? Sometimes components like LED's go end of life and we have to find a close match so it could be that.

yes I tried swapping the adaptator and yes it's both avid branded. maybe you're right, the second one start to loose the brightness, I don't know. All keys of this artist mix are darkest than the first one, that's why I thought there was a solution...
