PT 8 says I am running out of CPU Power?
Hello,
Recently upgraded to V8 and I am having a bunch of issues. For the record, 7.3 was working with almost no problems...But, here are the big ones. And, yes, I trashed prefs and databases etc. 1) I have a MacPro with 4 processors. I have my pref set to use 90% of cpu power so I can not believe I am running low esp since I dont use any RTAS plugins. 2) It seems I get a lag when I try to move the windows around the screen as if the computer is too busy... I also get the Wheel Of Death often for no reason. 2) Anyway to change the grey background to white? I find it difficult to see grid lines and highlighted regions... Thanks alot, Scott |

Re: PT 8 says I am running out of CPU Power?
might be that I can help....
I had the same problem when using virtual instruments. got the CPU error even if I use only TDM plugs. I solved the problem by reducing the processors used to 1. (since some instruments are not optimized to more then one processors, they cause problems.) |

Re: PT 8 says I am running out of CPU Power?
According to Digi the processors need to be set to an uneven number of processors. If you only have two then one is the number. If you have four then three is the number etc..
