Default problem with firewire drive

hello all

I am using Pro Tools LE 6.4 MBOX on my P4 2400 alot, working and making music and everything, and I usualy work with a firewire drive, on which I have all my projects and audio. I have another older drive for, well, old stuff. Today I connected my olde drive to the new one, turned it on - like I did many times before, tried to import a file and suddenly protools failed to import and crashed. When I tried to open the session form my projects drive, protools said that all the audio files are on volumes unsuitable for playback! Suddenly my much used and trusted firewire drive is not suitable for playback? The data on the drive is ok, it will even play from the import window, but protools wont work with the drive even after several restarts. Does anybody know about this kind of problem? Pleas help!

Thanks
Assaf Gidron

In Pro Tools go to Windows>Show Workspace - to the right of the drive name will be an 'A' column and a 'V' column. In the 'A' column it's probably listed as a 'T' or 'P', click on the 'T' or 'P' and, from the drop down menu, choose 'record'.

That should fix it.

You can consult your Digibase guide for more info.
