scribble strip displays HR instead of track name

Hey All,

Like the title says, on every scribble strip on my ICON displays HR plus a number (ex: HR-3.5) on every channel. I can't figure out why it doesn't display the track name listed in PT and I noticed everytime i hit clear clip, the number changes. The number never passes 0.0, also. Can anyone tell me what this means since I'm such a newb? Thanks in advance.

You on D control or D command ?


Anyhow ... look for a button that says 'disp mode' on your global channel strip ... just under the 'mute clear' button on D control and on D command in the neighborhood of the 'do to sel' button ...


See if that changes anything .... it should really ....


Now .... fwiw ... 'disp mode' basically is an abbreviation for 'display mode'

HR would be the abbreviation of 'headroom'.

Headroom being one of THE most important things to understand and know about when working with digital audio it is included in the display modes. It allows you to monitor your headroom ... it tells you how much of it you have left. Which at the same time is also why it doesn't go higher then Zero dBFS (full scale digital) ... there is no higher then zero dBFS .
