The MIDI event list is fixed on my end. I downloaded 2020.9 today and it is all back to normal. No greyed out tracks like with 2020.5 (if that is the bug you are talking about).

Hopefully this won't jinx it but it's smooth here so far. One crash importing session data from an old session but that's probably not PT's fault. It feels just slightly snappier than 2020.3 did.

Completely underwhelmed with the update here and coincidentally I renewed for another year yesterday! It is what it is though. It’s less than £1 a day for Ultimate.

The real worry for me is how slowly PT is evolving and how long it takes for stuff to get fixed. You have to wonder how many software developers are actually left in the building at Avid.

None. They outsourced PT development somewhere in Eastern Europe...
Only the bean counters left in the building, for the obvious reasons!

Cheers!

It's one significant update a year I'd say, this year it was track folders (which were not as good as billed, imo).

This is the way it's going to be, folks. As I posted in another thread, this is from Avid's last financial report:

Quote:
Operating Income Increased 214% Year-Over-Year from Improved Gross Margin and Significantly Reduced Operating Expenses
Revenue up, expenses down. Looks good to shareholders, for users it's saying that "we've milked you more and given you less, and it has worked". Little use complaining it seems to me, we all know the deal now and we live with whichever poor option we choose.

That's just one bug that looks like it got fixed. There's an Avid-verified bug about MIDI event list deletions. Remember that this goes back to every version after 2019.6. You can't make non-contiguous selections and deletions; you also can't just hit the delete key to delete events. And in the last couple PT revisions you can't make multiple contiguous deletions. I know what the manual says about deletions and it just doesn't work like described. Again all verified by Avid tech support and STILL not fixed.

Keep in mind this is on a Mac.

Has anyone else noticed a bug where right clicking 'Select Assignments to an output' in the mixer window unhides all tracks with that output? I often use this for gain staging, finding it a right pain and I never remember this happening in 2020.5. Is it a new pref I'm missing?

Shout if you've got any answers!

Thanks in advance!
