Possible to copy left side pan to right side?
I don't think this is possible but here goes...
I'm dragging two identically panned mono clips to a stereo track but only the left side of the stereo track receives the panning info, right side is static (100 right). Is there a quick way to copy the panning info from the left side to the right side? Thx! JR

You could hit link, and rewrite the pan moves...but you're trying to avoid re-doing the automation. Curious to know why you're doing this instead of simply using two mono tracks.

Re: Possible to copy left side pan to right side?
I'm trying to stay within a template that my mixer and I had established and was running out of monos in that food group but have stereos available. I've got a bunch of dual mono elements that are already balanced together and will pan together and was thinking it'd reduce the number of faders he'd have his fingers on as well.
The OCD is probably over thinking it as per usual :)

Re: Possible to copy left side pan to right side?
On your new stereo track, couldn’t you just show the automation lane for the left pan, copy it, show the automation lane for the right pan, paste it (possibly paste to fill or paste to current automation, the exact verbiage escapes me) but Shft+Opt+Cmd+V? It’s under the “paste special” menu.

Re: Possible to copy left side pan to right side?
Sorry didn't specify that it's a stereo track with a surround output and the panning is pretty dynamic so lots of pan lane automation to copy. However I'd never seen that you could open up "all pan types" very quickly from the automation lane selector. And then you can copy paste between left/right pretty easily. Nice, thx!
