Default License......too bad

I can not understand because it is very complex to renew the licenses. Dates, versions, prices, license type, everything is confusing.

Avid= bad support, bad web, bad communication, bad update.

Sorry, but I have to agree with the OP.

Avid has done an abyssal job of explaining any of this to their customers, even after a full YEAR of customer complaining.

What they HAVE said has been at best, opaque, and what they haven't said is worse. From the start, the news has always been "half-baked", and full of threats.

I just did the upgrade to 12, but we are fully a whole year from features announced and yet to be delivered.

Promises made by Avid best be coming true and soon, or their new subscription model of doing business will be over. I don't think anyone is going to be willing to pay another year's "subscription" for "features" that STILL haven't been delivered. You can't expect people to continue to pay for promises that are never fulfilled.

What version of Pro Tools do you currently have? Are you wanting to go subscription, or buy an upgrade?

Subscription will give you a PT12 license that will work as long as you stay current with your subscription. When you stop paying, it stops working.

Buying a new license or upgrade will give you a PT 10/11/12 bundle license that will authorize any of those versions, and is a permanent license. Yours to keep forever.

Post back what you have, and what you want and we'll see if we can get you an answer.

I'm still not sure which you have. You can't have a subscription that is a perpetual license

Subscription is monthly or yearly but is NOT a perpetual license.

If you bought Pro Tools and own the license, then it is a perpetual license, and you have two options:
Avid Annual Upgrade Plan for Pro Tools - Renewal - This will give you all Pro Tools updates for the next year
Avid Annual Plug-in and Support Plan for Pro Tools - This will give you access to support and the bonus plugins

Either way, if you only have to renew, it will show up in your Avid account when the expiration date comes (21/02/2016)

Ok so you're not on subscription. You have an active support plan until Feb 22 2016, at which time you should be able to renew your support plan through your Avid account (https://www.avid.com/US/account/orientation). You can choose to either buy either

Avid Annual Upgrade Plan for Pro Tools - Renewal - This will give you all Pro Tools updates for the next year
Avid Annual Plug-in and Support Plan for Pro Tools - This will give you access to support and the bonus plugins
