Lip sync and delay compensation?
Hi!
I'm about to embark on a post project that will probably end up utilizing a whole bunch of plug-ins. I've never used delay compensation before, but I'm ready to try it for this one. Now, my main concern is this: Using delay compensation will make all tracks line up in time, by delaying all tracks so they correspond with the track subject to the most delay, right? In order to maintain lip sync (well, general sync really) when mastering the project to tape, is the correct proceedure to note that maximum amount of plug-in delay, and then manually shift the entire project the same amount "to the left" on the timeline? Thanks! Erik |
