Default Help! Omni won't connect after PT9.03 update

I made the mistake of updating to 9.03 before checking if others had problems. In hardware profiler it says the driver for this PCI slot is not installed. I tried downloading a separate version of the driver as well to no avail.


Help much appreciated.


OSX 10.6.7 PT9.0.3 Omni HD / also use with Logic
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro5,1
Processor Name: 6-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 3.33 GHz

come on guys... have to get a project out today and I'm sure I just missed something obvious?
This is a Westmere Processor all was fine till the update.

Mine is working fine with 9.0.3.
I'd try re installing Pro Tools and the device driver.

r u using an HD interface? I really don't know why it would work fine until the update.

I may just revert to an older version of MY HD. Go back to 9.02.... ugh!

There isn't a separate driver update right? You just updated PT9.02 to 9.03 ?
Where is the driver stored on the hard drive? I can't find where to dump...

Try holding the "N" key while you launch PT? That should allow you to pick an interface.

If that doesn't work, reset the Omni. I had to reset mine to clear up some funky stuff. Also, are you on the lastest firmware? If not and you choose to update, reset the Omni again afterwards.

Thanks for the help. I got it fixed. I kept wanting to just replace the driver, but finally found in one of the install pdfs that drivers for the HD Native card are actually included in the PT software, NOT a part of the PT9 Drivers update.

So the obvious answer was really the right one after all. I did a "safe" uninstall of PT then the fresh install. Would have done that initially except the fact that there are separate PT native drivers.

Does anyone else get confused by the fact that the names of all the PT product lines sound the same? ugh! anyway, thanks!
