Default Pitch Correction Software Recommendations?

I have a Pro Tools 10 / MBox 3 system on a MacBook Pro Core Duo with 8 GB Ram. I'm considering spending some tax return money on pitch correction software. I am a singer/songwriter and record myself with mutitrack vocals along with guitar, mandolin, and a little bit of midi instruments. Can anyone give me a recommendation of a fairly simple but reliable auto tune plug in? Thank you!

Celemony's Melodyne Editor. It has been stated that the next version of Pro Tools will support Celemony's ARA technology which will make Melodyne Editor a dream to use.

+1 for Melodyne Editor with DNA. Its already a dream of sorts. I was able to take a single track with 4 part harmony(done badly) and a constant thump(somebody's foot on the mic strand?) and I was able to correct the harmonies AND remove the thumping. Client and engineer stunned and pleased

Another +1 for Melodyne.

There are others out there, but none do the job as nicely for as wide a variety of applications. Worth every penny.

One thing about Melodyne you NEED to know: Once you transfer audio into the plugin, Melodyne "owns" the audio. What that means is, edits like Elastic, audiosuite changes, clip gain...will NOT work, until you commit the audio and remove Melodyne(or bypass, or Make Inactive).

This is a simple thing with a simple solution. Add a track beside the track with Melodyne(can be AUDIO or AUX, both work). Drag the Melodyne plugin from the original track to the new track you just added(all the audio stays with the plugin). Set the new track(w/Melodyne) to output to a bus. Set the original track to input from the same bus. Select New Playlsit on the original track(so you preserve the old audio, just in case) and record the new playlist. Now you have your tuned audio back on its original track where it belongs(you can leave the Melodyne track in place, deactivate it or delete it, whatever makes you happy). Can't comment on other tuning plugins as I rarely use them(Melodyne is amazing)

ARA will make all that go away.

I use AT TDM. Also have Melodyne. It's fine, but cumbersome.
