PT 12 - Serious Lag
Just recently, Pro Tools has been becoming increasingly laggy on me, and thus I can't get any recording done. For example, when I open my Tempo Operations Window, it takes up to 45 seconds before it allows me to do anything, and even then there is lag. This goes for playing back audio too, and other functions.
I unplugged my interface, plugged it back in (to see if quite possibly PT was struggling to communicate with the interface) but this did nothing to remedy the lagging issue. Has anyone else run into this issue? |

Re: PT 12 - Serious Lag
It would help if you'd tell us what OS you're on. We need specific system details!!!! Not even a mention of MAC or Windows???
Anyway, if you're on a pc, go into BIOS and see if there's a floppy drive controller. If there is, disable it. |

How do you access BIOS? Not the most technologically literate. |

Re: PT 12 - Serious Lag
Again, with zero system info, we can't venture a guess. If it's an ASUS motherboard, you boot the pc and hold down the "delete" key to enter the bios setup page. Or look at the splash screen when you first boot up, and it SHOULD tell you what key to hold down to enter your setup page.
